• Thermal stress — particularly in extreme cold followed by sudden heat (such as pouring hot water on a frozen screen)

What About the Heated Elements?

The heated elements in your rear screen are embedded within the glass itself — they cannot be repaired independently if the glass is damaged. When we fit a replacement rear screen, the new glass includes the heated element connections, and we ensure these are correctly connected to your vehicle’s wiring so the heating function works exactly as before.

We also take care to reconnect any additional connections your rear screen may have — such as aerial connections for radio or GPS, and wiper connections if your vehicle has a rear wiper.
